About Us

Sanmat, formerly Sri Someshwar Nath Mahadev Trust, came into being in 2007 by two young college graduates Amit Choubey and Nitesh Kumar. They believed that the sustainability and scalability of policies and programs lies in clear and well-defined implementation processes. They, thus through Sanmat, focussed on bridging the governance and implementation gaps in execution of various government and non government programs to reach the most marginalized population in northern India.
Creating self-sustainable communities in India.

Benefitting from strong partnerships with state governments, the scale of Sanmat’s operations spans three north Indian states – Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, impacting 200,000 people through improved livelihood and education, and health.
